Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tamalaya (the "Service", "we", "us"), an online multiplayer text game at tamalaya.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, or abuse other players or staff;
  • cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised automation or scripts;
  • submit unlawful, hateful, or infringing content;
  • attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • impersonate staff or other players.

4. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as character names and messages). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and moderate it as needed to operate the Service, and you are responsible for ensuring it is lawful.

5. Virtual items and the in-game economy

In-game items, currency, and characters are virtual, have no real-world monetary value, and cannot be redeemed for money or goods. We may adjust or reset them for game balance, maintenance, or to correct errors. Trades are made at your own risk.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue it (or any feature) at any time without liability.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other players.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding the Service's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or lost virtual items arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the website. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts.
